Noise reported
A noise complaint brought Coplay police to the 100 block of North Front Street July 14.
The caller said, "kids were loud." On arrival, the complainant told police he had spoken to the children and the problem was resolved.
Theft from a
vehicle reported
A resident of the 100 block of Chestnut Street reported to police someone entered her unlocked Jeep Liberty.
Stolen was $8 in cash, two CDs and the vehicle's registration, police said. The theft took place July 13.
Noise complaint reported
Police were called July 11 at 10:26 p.m. to the 100 block of South Third Street for a noise complaint.
Police at the scene said there were people in a swimming pool, police said. The persons agreed to keep the noise down.
Fire reported
A report of a fire July 8 close to 9 p.m. brought police and the fire department to the 200 block of South Second Street.
On arrival it was found to be a flashing LED light connected to a wire, police said.
Vandalism reported
A resident of the unit block of South Second Street July 8 reported to police someone keyed her 2013 Dodge pickup truck.
The truck had been parked across the street from her residence, police said.
Hit-and-run
reported
A Catasauqua resident informed police July 7 her 2013 Ford Escape was struck by a hit-run driver.
It had been parked at the Giant Food lot, Cherry and Chestnut streets, police said.
Theft reported
Police responded July 7 to a home in the unit block of Magna Drive.
The homeowner reported a metal rack and trailer hitch for his motor home was stolen from the rear of his property, police said.
