We have the politicians,

the ideologues, the principle, the vote

We the people...What about us? ...Are we worth anything?

Or, are we here to be trampled on by the rich, the powerful,

the corporate world?

Have we forgotten who we are?

We are the ones who emigrated here

Or were brought here

Most of us for freedom from

oppression and a better life

But not all!

We need to rediscover who we are

And we are desperately in need of statesmen and women

To represent US!
