Carol A. Lawson, 75, of South Whitehall Township, died peacefully July 15, 2014, in her home.

Born in New York, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Gladys (Philbert) Shanley.

She was the widow of Alan K. Lawson who died in 1989.

She retired from the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles as a supervisor in the enforcement division with more than 30 years of service.

Her survivors include a daughter Lynn A. Boccio and her husband, Anthony, of Macungie; and sister Lynn Crozier and her husband, John, of Arlington, Texas.

She was predeceased by brother James Shanley of New York.

A private Catholic prayer service will take place in Gilbert Funeral Home, Whitehall.

There will be no viewing and interment will be private.
