One of two officers serving a drug-related arrest warrant was badly injured by the subject July 7.
According to police, the officers arrived at the Wyandotte Street address of Robert Luke Grosset, 24, to arrest him for an alleged June 3 incident involving heroin.
When Grosset answered the door, police said, he immediately slammed it shut, shattering glass and cutting one officer's arm. Following Grosset's arrest the officer was taken to St. Luke's Hospital for surgery.
Grosset was remanded to Northampton County Prison and is charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest and escape.
