Robert H. Tyrka, 82, of Allentown, died July 11, 2014, in Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown.

Born in Jersey City, N.J., he was a son of the late William and Anna (Fober) Tyrka.

He was a consultant for roofing supply companies in the Lehigh Valley.

He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.

His survivors include a brother William and his wife, Carol, of Macungie.
