Jonathan M. Bortz, 22, of Macungie, died July 8, 2014.

Born August 25, 1991, in Allentown, he was the son of Chris L. Bortz of Allentown and Debra A. (Osika) Ragosta and her husband, Stephen, of Allentown.

He was employed at East Penn Mfg. (Deka Battery), Lyons Station, for the last three years.

A 2009 graduate of Parkland High School, he attended Lehigh Carbon Technical Institute majoring in HVAC.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his expectant fiancée, Jaime R. Farley, with whom he resided; brother Steven M. Bortz of Allentown; sisters Stephanie A. Fister and her husband, Kevin, of Slatington, Katie J. Bortz of Bath; stepbrother Scott Ragosta of New Jersey; paternal grandparents Richard L. Bortz of Allentown, Mary J. (Eddinger) Stauffer and her husband, Donald, of Allentown; maternal grandfather Andrew J. Osika of Macungie; and niece Kalei.
