Police arrested a fleeing federal parolee around 4 a.m. July 5 after he was involved in three successive hit-and-run car accidents, the last of which was observed by officers.
Oliver Sims, 28, of West Frankford Street, was allegedly intoxicated and surrendered after failing to escape pursuing officers. During a physical evaluation, he also spat on a paramedic, police said.
Sims is charged with DUI, escape, resisting arrest and a number of traffic citations.
