Allen W. Fortna, 57, of Whitehall, died July 1, 2014, at home. He was the husband of Brenda (Houston) Fortna.
Born in Gettysburg, he was a son of Madelyn (Smith) Fortna and the late Wayne B. Fortna.
He was a 1975 Chambersburg High School graduate. He was a 1979 graduate of Shippensburg University and earned a master's degree in business administration from the University of Indianapolis.
He worked at the T.B. Woods Company, Martin Sprocket and Gear and, later, at Pennsylvania Crusher.
He was a former member of First Lutheran Church, Chambersburg.
He was a board member of Egypt Memorial Park and a supporter of the Chambersburg YMCA.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a son, Alex; a stepson, Dustin and his wife Emme Rickabaugh; a grandson, Jackson Rickabaugh; a sister, Sue and her husband Bruce Majer; a niece, Melissa and her husband Jonathon Weigand; and two nephews, Daniel Majer and William and his wife Dori Majer.
