Jonathan M. Bortz, 22, of Macungie, died July 8, 2014. Born in Allentown, he was a son of Chris L. Bortz of Allentown and Debra A. (Osika) Ragosta and her husband Stephen of Allentown.

He was employed at East Penn Mfg. (Deka Battery) in Lyons Station, for the last three years.

He was a graduate of Parkland High School, Class of 2009 where he attended Lehigh Career and Technical Institute majoring in HVAC.

He is survived by his parents; expectant fiancee, Jaime R. Farley with whom he resided; brother, Steven M., of Allentown; sisters, Stephanie A. and her husband Kevin Fister, of Slatington, Katie J., of Bath; stepbrother, Scott Ragosta, of New Jersey; paternal grandparents, Richard L. of Allentown, Mary J. (Eddinger) and her husband Donald Stauffer, of Allentown; maternal grandfather, Andrew J. Osika, of Macungie; niece, Kalei.

Arrangements were made by the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Schnecksville.
