Edmund J. Hood, 62, of Alburtis, died July 7, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospice House, Bethlehem. Born in Allentown, he was the son of Florence E. (Williamson) Hood of Allentown and the late Glenn F. Hood.

He was a self-employed carpenter.

He is survived by a son, Aaron J., of Catasauqua; daughter, Cody E. Sehar, of Wescosville; brother, Allen G., of Trexlertown; sister, Sandra L. Bare, of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; granddaughter, Bella; nephews, Joshua Bare and Justin Hood, former wife Priscilla.

Services are private. Arrangements were made by the Schmoyer Funeral Home, Breinigsville.
