Walter H. Weaver, 83, of Hanover Township, died July 1, 2014, at Gracedale, Nazareth. He was the husband of Elsie H. (Hutter) Weaver for 63 years.
Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Walter C. and Edna (Fehnel) Weaver.
He was a Bethlehem vo-tech graduate. He earned a bachelor's degree from Lehigh University.
He was in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War.
He was a senior electrical engineer for 40 years until retiring from Western Electric. He was a professional guitarist and played with various local big bands and orchestras. He worked with stained glass.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Michael and his wife Mary; a daughter, Karen and her husband Michael Schlagel; four grandchildren, Michael and Brian Schlagel and Tracy and Kelly Weaver; nieces; and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister, Evelyn Seifert.
A calling hour will be held from 10-11 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m., both July 19 at the funeral home, 234 Walnut St., Catasauqua, 18032.
