Businesses cited
for false alarms
Four businesses in Upper Macungie were cited by township police for having excessive false burglar alarms.
Pulte Homes, 1633 Windmill Lane, Zep Inc. 860 Nestle Way and Home Depot, 861 Nestlé Way, all in Breinigsville; and Tractor Supply, 7450 Hamilton Blvd., Trexlertown, were cited at the end of June and the beginning of July for having four or more false alarms with the past 12 months.
Trim stolen
from SUV
Police are investigating the theft of a piece of chrome from a 2010 Lincoln Navigator while it was parked at the Best Western, 5630 W. Tilghman St.
Police say the side window of the Navigator, belonging to a 38-year-old Berwick man, was broken.
Anyone with information on this theft is asked to call police at 484-661-5911.
Chainsaw taken,
no charges filed
Police say an 82-year-old Emmaus man allegedly took a chainsaw around noon June 26 from Tractor Supply, 7450 Hamilton Blvd., Trexlertown.
Police say Tractor Supply signed a Cease Prosecution Form, so no citations were issued.
