Robert E. Campbell, 82, of North Catasauqua, died June 29, 2014, in Allentown. He was the husband of Elaine M. (hurdy) Campbell for 45 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Harry and Pauline (Apple) Campbell.

He was a military policeman with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He was an installer with Bell Telephone Company for 37 years before retiring in 1992.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Heather and her husband Kirk Nielsen; a son, Troy and his wife Kristen Campbell; four grandchildren, Adriena and Michael Marano and Payton and Brynn Campbell; and two stepgrandchildren, Madison and Jordan Nielsen.

He was predeceased by three brothers, James, Paul and William.
