David C. Houtz, 72, of Palmerton, died June 25, 2104, at St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Judith Houtz of Palmerton.

Born in Bellefonte, he was a son of the late Nevin and Evelyn Louise (Cramer) Houtz.

He was in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He worked in the maintenance department of FedChem for 46 years until retiring.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Tammy Walker of Catasauqua; two sons, Dan and his wife Suzette of Catasauqua and Chris of Bethlehem; a sister, Janet and her husband Don Auker of State College; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Donald.
