Residents in Northampton recently received a borough guide that depicts the borough as never before.
The guide is chock full of pictures, useful information, history and a large map of every street and alley in town.
The sixth edition of the community information guide and map is the most comprehensive published so far.
The publication provides an easy reference on meetings and stories about what makes Konkrete Kids proud, such as the illuminated borough made holiday decorations on streets.
Meeting dates, telephone numbers, services, history, ordinance and legal information governing the community and a host of articles and pictures of events are all featured.
According to the administration and council, the publication was created at no cost to the borough.
Advertising on the outer edges of the map paid for the guide and was marketed by a private company at no expense to the taxpayers.
The cover picture is of the Wilson Blockhouse, built in 1756 as a defensive location against raiding Native Americans.
The blockhouse today is the center piece of the borough's logo, which can be seen outside the municipal swimming pool on Laubach Avenue.
