Barbara A. Kern, 78, of Schnecksville, died July 3, 2014, in Avow Hospice, Naples, Fla.

She and her husband Donald L. Kern Sr. were married 59 years last Nov. 27.

Born Aug. 25, 1935, in Allentown, , she was the daughter of the late Franklin R. and Gertrude J. (Kemmeter) Lewis.

She was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by a daughter, Judith A. Miller and her husband, Dennis, of Slatington; son Donald L. Jr. and his wife, Heather, of Schnecksville; brother Randall R. Lewis of Emmaus; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Her funeral services will be 11 a.m. July 10, at Union UCC, 5550 Route 873, Neffs, with the Rev. Thomas N. Thomas officiating.

Family and friends may pay their respects between 10-11 a.m. Thursday in the church narthex.

Interment will follow the service at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs.
