Two Bethlehem products recently announced their plans to play college football locally, as Liberty's Lou Csaszar and Bethlehem Catholic's Donte Lonardo elected to play at Villanova and Lafayette College respectively.
Csaszar, a star offensive lineman for the Hurricanes, chose Villanova over Lafayette.
Lonardo, a tight end and defensive end for Becahi, decided to stay in the area and committed to Lafayette.
There haven't been any official words coming out of Freedom for commitments at the moment, as Csaszar and Lonardo are the first two players to make announcements this summer.
Bethlehem Catholic has been a place full of intrigue for college coaches, as the Hawks should have several players on the FBS (Div-I) and FCS (Div-IAA) radar.
Freddie Simmons is likely to be one of the most sought after athletes in the area this season, as he's reportedly received 12 Division-I offers with Rutgers, Virginia, Cal, San Diego State and Wake Forest atop of the list.
