Marian E. Rising, 89, of Ambler, Montgomery County, died June 21, 2014, in the home of her granddaughter, Kate E. Peters of New Tripoli.

She was the wife of the late Harold P. Rising.

Born Oct. 6, 1924, in Bethpage, Nassau County, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late James W. and Bertha Payne.

A member of Jarrettown United Methodist Church, Dresher, she was a member of Samaritan's Purse.

Her survivors include a daughter, Linda A. Mohr and her husband, Karl, of Fogelsville; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a sister, Diane L. Eaton.
