Sand Island will be closed beginning at noon on July 4 to prepare for the fireworks display at 9 p.m. The rain date for closure and fireworks is July 5.

The Music in the Park series will host a Bethlehem Legion Band concert at 7:30 p.m. prior to the fireworks at the City Center, 10 E. Church St.

Other Fourth of July events include a concert by the Allentown Band from 8 to 10 p.m. at the Levitt Pavillion, SteelStacks, 101 Founders Way.
