On arrival, the patrol officer found the fire alarm possibly malfunctioned. The fire department handled the situation, police said.
Wallet stolen
Borough police are investigating the possible theft of a wallet at Giant Food Store.
A Northampton resident in the market June 22 told police he believed he may have dropped his wallet, police said.
The store had no report of anyone turning in a wallet, however, police said.
It was later learned a man between 50 and 60 years old was seen picking something up in the parking lot where the Northampton man had parked his truck, police said.
The suspect, police said, entered the store and purchased several items, then left the store. Police said the person who may have picked up the wallet had a white beard and was wearing a blue Penn State T-shirt.
