FC Sonic kept themselves atop of the NPSL's Keystone Conference last week with a 2-1 victory over Hershey FC to put them at 16 points through six contests.
Former Moravian Academy product and current University of Michigan forward George Tsrikus scored the game winner against Hershey in the 82nd minute to give the Sonic the late winner.
The 2-1 winning margin has been a theme for the Sonic recently, as they topped Junior Lone Star by that scoreline on June 4. Michael Gonzalez and Tom Mustac scored both goals for the Sonic to provide them three crucial points on the road.
The Sonic will host Junior Lone Star on June 18 at Whitehall High School, as they look to hold their grasp atop the division.
The club closes out the month by hosting the Buxmont Torch on June 21, traveling to South Carolina to battle the Clarkstown SC Eagles on June 24 and then hosting Greater Binghamton FC on June 28.
The month of June is the most packed it's ever been for soccer fans in the Lehigh Valley, as they have the Sonic to take in, as well as the FIFA World Cup and Viewing Party at SteelStacks in Bethlehem.
The event hosted thousands of fans during the first weekend of the World Cup and continues action this weekend from June 19-22.
