Richard W. Solt, 76, formerly of Macungie, died June 16, 2014, at Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Joan (Knauss) Solt. Born in Bethlehem he was the son of the late Samuel W. and Ethel (Meserve) Solt.

Before retiring, he worked in office furniture sales.

He was a member of St. Paul's U.C.C., Trexlertown, where he was very active and served on various committees.

He served in the Navy Reserves.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, visiting neighbors and cheering for Philadelphia and Penn State sports teams.

He is survived by his wife; daughters, Bonnie E. and her husband Dave Prunty, of Freeville, N.Y., Cheryl A. and her husband Jeff Crammer, of Whitehall, Donna Conway, of Macungie, Debra and her husband Jose Figueroa, of Bethlehem; sons, Robert Shurgalla and his wife Karen, of Allentown, Richard Shurgalla and his wife Sharon, of State College; sister, Betty M. Confer, of Bethlehem; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a granddaughter Jessica.
