Richard T. Bowers, 89, of Salisbury Township, died May 25, 2014, in St. Luke's Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Joyce A. (Clauser) Bowers with whom he celebrated 68 years of marriage on May 4. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Harry and Elizabeth (Huber) Bower.

He served his country honorably in the United States Navy during World War II.

He was a draftsman at Mack Trucks for many years, retiring in 1987.

He was a member of Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church Allentown.

He was an avid Detroit Tigers fan.

He is survived by his wife; daughters, Mary Butz, Linda and her husband George Raad, Jeanne and her husband Leroy Halleman, Dianne and her husband Joel Vasquez; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Richard, Jr. and daughter, Rosemarie Higgins.
