The Lehigh Valley Classical Guitar Festival is June 28, Peter Hall, Hurd Campus, Moravian College, Main and Church streets, Bethlehem.
The festival, presented by the Moravian College Department of Music, co-sponsored by the Lehigh Valley Classical Guitar Society and directed by Moravian College alumnus James Schultheis Moravian College, Class of 2010, is a day of recitals, workshops, master classes, and concerts featuring accomplished classical guitarists, performers, and educators.
This year's festival features an evening concert and master class with Australian guitarist Rupert Boyd, who has been acclaimed as one of the most talented guitarists of his generation. He has been described by The Washington Post as "truly evocative" and Classical Guitar Magazine as "a player who deserves to be heard."
His performances have taken him across four continents, from New York's Carnegie Hall, to the Barcelona Guitar Festival in Spain, Strings-139 Festival in China, Festival de Musique Classique in France, and every state and territory in mainland Australia.
