Lynn R. Derr, 80, of Trexlertown, died May 26, 2014, at Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown. He was the husband of Josephine J. (Fegley) Derr. They celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary in January. Born in Alburtis, he was a son of the late Leon W. and Evelyn M. (Roth) Derr DeRoner.

He worked security for 12 years at AT&T, retiring in 1988 and prior he was employed at Exide Corporation for 33 years.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and belonged to Ray A. Masters American Legion Post #217, Topton and Macungie VFW Post #9264.

He was an animal lover and Boston Red Sox fan.

He is survived by sons, Theodore W. and Donald J; daughter, Audrey; half brothers, Dale, Dennis, Terry and Neil; stepbrother, Gary DeRoner; half sister, Debbie; grandchildren, Christopher, Jamie and Koby Hregician, Emily and Sondra Knopf, Hillari Takacs, Lauren Smoyer and Kelly; eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by daughters Connie Hregician, Brenda Smoyer and Susan Jane; brother Robert Derr; half brothers, Jan, Don and Dean; stepfather, Henry DeRoner.
