Wilma A. Elnitsky

Wilma A. Elnitsky, 87, of Whitehall, died June 11, 2014, at home.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late William and Anna (Vago) Anthony.

She and her loving husband, John, were the first couple married in St. Stephen of Hungary Church, Allentown, in 1956.

A 1944 graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School, she was a claims representative with the Social Security Administration for 20 years.

She also worked for the Allentown and Whitehall Coplay school districts.

A devout member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, Whitehall, she was a den mother there and a member of the Women of St. Elizabeth, the Pro-Life Committee and the Golden Agers.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son John and his wife, Christine, of Denver, N.C.; daughter Anne, wife of Steven Kellner, of West Windsor, N.J.; grandchildren James Elnitsky, Katie and Caroline Kellner; great-grandchildren Jadyn and Chance Elnitsky; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Louis, William and John Anthony, all of whom she adored.

Arrangements were made by Gilbert Funeral Home, Whitehall.
