Richard "Rick" P. Bretz, 52, of Ashland, died June 9, 2014.

Born in Catasauqua, he was a son of the late Richard E. and Rite E. (Tassie) Bretz.

He was a 1980 Whitehall High School graduate. He attended Lehigh Community College.

He was in the U.S. Navy.

He worked in construction.

He is survived by a sister, Valerie and her husband Michael Bomberger and their daughters Tayler and Brittney of Lititz; and a brother, David T. and his wife Tracy and their daughter Lauren of Blandon.
