M. Maxine Wehr

M. Maxine "Muz" Wehr, 85, of Orefield, died June 15, 2014, in her home.

She was the wife of the late Sherwood W. Wehr.

Born June 25, 1928, in Lewis, Edwards County, Kansas, she was the daughter of the late George and Grace M. (Henry) Abbot.

She was a customer service representative at Strawberry Acres, North Whitehall Township, and a baker and children's tour facilitator from 1991-12.

Prior to that, she was a food service worker with the Parkland School District for 27 years.

She attended Livingstone Fellowship, New Tripoli.

Her survivors include a son, Kevin K. and his wife, Joanne, of Orefield; daughter,Pamela S. Haas of Coplay; brother John Hill of Arkansas; grandchildren Melanie J. Makovsky, Scott A. Haas, Ryan D. and Nathan A. Wehr; great-grandchildren Ida C., Daniel J., Henry T. and Abigail J. Makovsky.

She was predeceased by a son Dennis D., son-in-law Daniel W. Haas, and siblings Odessa Stack, Ruth Clark, Dean Hill and Connie Dowd.

Her funeral service will be 2 p.m. June 19, in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville.

Family and friends may pay their respects 1-2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Interment will follow the service at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Allentown.
