William H. Jones, 83, of Blandon, and formerly of Bath, died May 22, 2014, in his home on his 60th wedding anniversary. He was the husband of Audrey M. (Leyfert) Jones.

Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late William J. Jones and Myrtle (Gachenbach) Jones Sowden.

He was in the U.S. Army during the Korean War era.

He was a staff accountant at the former Bethlehem Steel Corporation for 32 years until retiring in 1987.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Catherine J. and her husband Michael Meleta, with whom he resided; a son, Thomas W. and his wife Rosalind of Washington Crossing; four grandchildren, Sarah, Jarrid, Cavin and Westin; and a great–grandson, Joshua.
