Theft

Reported at Wild Cherry Park and Spring Ridge Park, Lower Macungie Township, four small aluminum soccer goal posts taken from Spring Ridge Park and one large aluminum soccer goal damaged at Wild Cherry Park between 11 a.m. May 2 and 8:30 am. May 3. Anyone with information may contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.

Retail theft

Eric Ryan Miller, 25, of Mertztown, was charged with retail theft after he allegedly took $116.40 worth of various items from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Rd., Lower Macungie Township, 2:48 p.m. May 14. Charges filed with District Court 31-3-02.

Reported by Wawa convenience store, 4900 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, an unknown actor asked to buy three cartons of Newport brand cigarettes, inquired about how much the cartons cost and, when the cartons were placed on the counter, grabbed the cigarettes and fled the store. Theft by deception

Reported by a female resident of Wesosville in the 4800 block of Liberty Lane, noon May 13, approximately $1,100 in three separate transactions of start up and transfer fees taken by an online loan company. Anyone with information may contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.

DUI

Curtis Lynn Fisher, 55, of Wescosville, was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol after a two-vehicle traffic accident at the intersection of Hamilton Boulevard and Brookside Road, Lower Macungie Township, 8:59 p.m. May 3. Charges were filed in District Court 31-3-02.

Joseph Boris Kmiecik, 57, of Bethlehem, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs after he was stopped for an alleged traffic violation on the Route 222 bypass, northbound, at Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 10:13 p.m. May 7.

Dustin E. Morrow, 23, of Emmaus, was taken into custody for driving under the influence after he allegedly crashed his vehicle into a telephone pole in the 3100 block of Main Road East, Upper Milford Township, 1:46 a.m. May 9.

A Zionsville woman, 49, was taken into custody under suspicion of driving under the influence after she allegedly arrived at Eyer Middle School, 5616 Buckeye Rd., Lower Macungie Township, to pick up her children and was determined to have been operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Charges are pending.

Dale Hoffman III, 21, of Alburtis, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after a traffic stop at Church and Danner roads, Lower Macungie Township, 10:27 p.m. May 21. Hoffman allegedly showed signs of being impaired in field sobriety tests and allegedly was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and associated paraphernalia. Charges are pending laboratory analysis of evidence.

Lost property

An iPod Touch device was found along Oak Drive in Lower Macungie Township around 4 p.m. May 16. The device can be claimed at the Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville barracks. Those wishing to claim the iPod must know the serial number and pass code to unlock the device.

Receiving stolen property

An 11-year-old female received a stolen iPhone valued at $199.99 and did not return the phone to its owner, 2:35 p.m. April 22.

Theft from motor vehicle

Reported in the 1300 block of Fritch Drive, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors entered an unlocked vehicle and took several items between 10:30 p.m. May 18 and 7 a.m. May 19.

Reported along Greens Drive, East Texas Road and Hickory Road, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors entered several unlocked vehicles and removed items, valued at $250, between 9 p.m. May 17 and 7 a.m. May 19. Anyone with information may contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.

Retail theft

Jessie Vicari, 35, of Alburtis allegedly entered Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Rd., Lower Macungie Township, and allegedly took various items with a total value of $96.32 at approximately 11:24 a.m. May 21. Vicari was transported to Lehigh County Prison and processed and released.

Criminal mischief

Reported by a resident in the 1200 block of Eagle Street, Lower Macungie Township, valve stems on a vehicle's tires were damaged between 10 p.m. May 14 and 8 a.m. May 15.
