Paw Prints on the Canal held June 1

Northampton Police Chief Ron Morey reported June 2 Paw Prints on the Canal held June 1 at Canal Park drew the largest crowd since it began several years ago.

Morey said police handled vehicle traffic without any issues. There were no incidents, Morey said.

Zoro, the police department's canine, and handler Police Officer John Mullner wowed the crowd with a canine demonstration.

Vehicle broken into

Police were called May 29 to the 2900 block of Washington Avenue to investigate a report of a break in.

A GPS tracking device was removed and reported missing by the owner.

Break in reported

Police are investigating a vehicle break in overnight May 30 in the 2300 block of Washington Avenue.

A wallet with an undetermined amount of cash, driver's license, owner's card and two credit cards were stolen.

Police said the vehicle was unlocked.

Personal items removed from car

A debit card and loose change was removed overnight May 29 from a parked vehicle in the unit block of West 29th Street.

Police said there was no damage done to the vehicle.

Police said the theft and break in are under investigation
