Shots fired

Police May 30 responded to a report from the North Catasauqua Police Department on shots fired in the 1400 block of Main Street.

Police checked the area and found nothing unusual.

Fire reported

A report of a dwelling fire June 3 brought Coplay police and borough firefighters to the 100 block of Cherry Street.

On arrival, the patrol officer observed smoke coming from the front door.

The homeowner reported her kitchen range on fire.

The fire department responded and extinguished the fire.

Alarm activated

An alarm brought police to Hobel Excavating in the 200 block of North Second Street June 2.

Police evaluated the area and found nothing amiss.

The building's owner later reset the alarm.

Gas spill reported

A gas spill brought police to the Giant Gas Station, Cherry and Chestnut streets, June 1.

Police said a 1995 Chevrolet was leaking gas.

The vehicle owner said he recently bought the vehicle and found the vehicle leaking.

The vehicle was later towed from the scene.
