Just before 6 p.m. June 2, firefighters are dispatched to Walking Purchase Park for a rubbish fire. When they arrived they discovered two separate piles of trash and brush burning in a parking area off of Constitution Drive. Firefighters used foam to extinguish the fires. Visitors to the park are asked to report any suspicious activity by calling 911.
