William H. Jones, 83, of Blandon, formerly of Bath, died May 22, 2014, in his home on his 60th wedding anniversary.

He was the husband of Audrey M. (Leyfert) Jones.

Born Aug. 8, 1930, in Palmerton, he was the son of the late William J. Jones and Myrtle (Gachenbach) Jones Sowden.

He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War era.

He was a staff accountant at the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 32 years before retiring in 1987.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Catherine J. Meleta and her husband, Michael, with whom he resided; son Thomas W. Jones and his wife, Rosalind, of Washington Crossing; grandchildren Sarah, Jarrid, Cavin and Westin; and great-grandson Joshua.
