Mary D. Ernst, 95, of Fullerton, died May 28, 2014, at home. She was the wife of the late Frank S. Ernst for 54 years.

Born in Ormrod, she was a daughter of the late Adam and Katie (Tuck) Datta.

She was a seamstress for the former Phoenix Clothes and Clyde Shirt Company. During World War II, she was co-owner and manager of the former Windsor House Hotel, Fullerton.

She was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Fullerton.

She is survived by a son, Ronald Ernst; and a daughter, Jeanette Reppert, both of Fullerton; a grandson, Erik; and two great-grandsons, Lawrence and Troy.
