Karen E. Wellington, 63, of Kutztown, died on May 29, 2014, in Hahnemann University Hospital, Philadelphia.

Born Oct. 6, 1950, in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Wesley P. and Irene S. (Faust) Wellington.

She was a self-employed caregiver and home health aide for many years in the Lehigh Valley.

Her survivors include children Angella S. Pitman and her husband, William, with whom she resided, Jessica A. Craddock and her husband, Brian, of Tamaqua, Jeremy D. Wellington of Allentown; siblings Kenny P. and his wife, Laurie, of Maine, Joyce I. Mohring and her husband, Robert, of Walnutport, Sylvia M. Gerhard and her husband, Les, of Emmaus; seven grandchildren; and nine nieces and nephews.
