Jack R. Lutz, 88, of York and formerly of Whitehall, died May 3, 2014, at his home. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Claude Lutz and Verna (Ackerman) Lutz-Moyer.

He was the husband of June (Sourwine) Lutz for 66 years.

He was a Navy veteran.

He worked at I.B.M. Corporation in Virginia, in the computer dept. for 35 years before retiring in 1989.

He was of the Lutheran background.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Richard of Hurricane, W.V. and Ronald and his wife Kim of Cary, N.C.; a step-brother, David Moyer of Melbourne, Fla.; two grandchildren, Janelle and Jeffrey; and five great–grandchildren, Emilie, Maya, Willow, Jeffrey Jr. and Lucille.

Services are private.
