Edmund J. Hartman Sr., 86, of Hokendauqua, died May 31, 2014, at his home. He was the husband of Elizabeth T. (Giacobbe) Hartman for 64 years.

Born in Whitehall, he was a son of the late Howard and Amy (Dech) Hartman.

He was in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He was a retired truck driver, having worked for the former Robbins Door and Sash Company.

He was a founding member in 1958 of the Hokendauqua Park and Playground. He was a former chief and president of the Hokenduaqua Fire Company.

He is survived by three sons, Edmund J. Jr. and his wife Dot, Robert F. and his wife Roseanna, and Gary and his wife Debbie; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great–grandchildren.
