Arlene Mae Biery, 97, formerly of Slatington, died May 22, 2014, in Phoebe Home, Allentown, where she resided the last two years.

Born May 21, 1917, in North Whitehall Township, she was the daughter of the late Frank J. and Lillian A. (Mickley) Peters.

She was a custodian in the housekeeping department of Phoebe Home for 15 years before retiring.

Her survivors include a daughter, Carolyn E., wife of LaMar E. Broadhead, of Slatington, Martha A., wife of the Rev. Nicholas R. Fair, of Fort Collins, Colo.; son William F. Biery of Catasauqua; siblings Matilda S. Perl of Allentown, Edna J. Leabold of Whitehall, Pearl J. Solt and Thomas O. Peters, both of Allentown; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
