Robert R. Worman

Robert R. Worman, 90, of Hokendauqua, died, May 15, 2014, in the Regional Hospital of Scranton. He was the husband of Margaret (Platzer) Worman for 64 years.

Born in Mechanicsville, he was a son of the late Charles and Bertha (Garr) Worman.

He was in the United States Army during World War II. He participated in the Battle of the Bulge and was the recipient of four Bronze Stars.

He worked at the former Trojan Powder Company for 35 years.

He was a member of the Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Whitehall.

He was a member of the Hokendauqua American Legion Post 739, Hokendauqua Fire Company and the Grundsow Lodge.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Marge Worman of Whitehall and Patricia and her husband Keith Hoffman of Slatington; a sister, Joyce Mantz of Allentown; and a brother, Stanley and his wife Benneth Worman of Bethlehem.

He was predeceased by a sister, Betty Haklitch.
