Anthony "Tony" Kumernitsky, 83, of Fullerton, Whitehall Township, died May 22, 2014, in his home surrounded by his loving and dedicated family.

Born in Cementon, he was a son of the late Theodore and Julia (Ferkovich) Komarnicky.

He and his wife Mabel E. (Schantz) Kumernitsky were married 65 years.

An Army veteran, he was a union laborer with Local 1174, working for various Lehigh Valley companies.

He was a life member of Fullerton Fire Company No. 1 and was an avid ice fisherman and hunter.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Anne M. Piovesan and husband, Rodney, of Whitehall, Patricia A. Larney and husband, Mike, of Breinigsville; grandchildren Michelle, Nicole, Bruce and Ciji; eight great-grandchildren; sisters Mary Fritzinger of Whitehall, Julie Biondo of New York; many nieces, nephews and their families.

He was predeceased by sisters Anna Gilliard and Katherine Ulrich, and brothers John, Frank and Michael.
