The day has finally arrived. Graduation ceremonies for Salisbury High School are 6 p.m. June 11 at Symphony Hall, Allentown.

The baccalaureate service is 7 p.m. June 9 at Nativity Lutheran Church, 4004 Tilghman St., Allentown.

Before graduation can happen, the seniors and all other students at SHS will need to turn in their beloved laptops. This will happen June 6 with the drop-off time being designated by the student's last name, alphabetically. Also, remember this is the 50th graduating class of Salisbury High School.

Salisbury Middle School's sixth grade class will participate in the outdoor program May 28 through June 4. This is a really neat program where the students are outside learning hands-on about nature in our community. Students walk through the Lehigh Parkway, to the fish hatchery, Western Salisbury Church and in the fields around the school. They do this rain or shine, so make sure your student is dressed properly.

The Western Salisbury Elementary PTA will hold an end of year spring Fling for families of Western 6 to 8 p.m. May 30.

The parents of first graders at WSE are invited to the portfolio picnic June 9. This event occurs during the first grade lunch and recess period 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Bring your student their favorite lunch, a blanket and enjoy reviewing the highlights of first grade. If the weather does not cooperate, the picnic will be held in the gym.

An operations committee meeting will be held 7 p.m. June 2 at the administration building. A curriculum and technology committee meeting is scheduled June 9 at the administration building.

The Devonshire drop off will be open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 3 and 7. Evening hours are 3 to 6 p.m. May 29 and June 9.
