Retail theft

Lucy K. Laskoski, 63, of Allentown, was charged with retail theft after she allegedly was seen by loss prevention personnel at Kohl's, 6900 Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, concealing multiple items of merchandise in her purse 5:17 p.m. May 13. Laskoski allegedly tried to leave the store without paying for the items but was stopped by store personnel. Charges were filed in District Court 31-3-02.

Rickie Todd, of Emmaus, and Stephanie Barlip of Alburtis, were chared with retail theft after they allegedly took numerous items from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 4:29 p.m. May 10. Charges were filed in District Court 31-3-02.

Mitia Alyce Swakcerd, 25, of Allentown, was charged with retail theft after she allegedly walked out of Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, with a shopping cart filled with various merchandise totaling $352.40 around 1 p.m. May 10. Charges were filed in District Court 31-3-02.

Criminal mischief

Reported by a resident in the 5700 block of North Walnut Street, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors broke out the the rear window of a Honda CR-V between 9:30 p.m. May 10 and 8:30 a.m. May 11. Anyone with information may contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.

Reported by a resident in the 4500 block of East Texas Road, Lower Macungie Township, an unknown object damaged a front window between 9 p.m. April 28 and 3 p.m. May 6. Damage is estimated at $150.

Theft from motor vehicle

Reported in the 7000 block of Violet Circle, Lower Macungie Township, three men entered six unlocked vehicles and took various items around 5:07 a.m. May 11 before fleeing on foot toward Wisteria Road. The men were described as wearing black hooded sweatshirts and dark baggie jeans. Anyone with information may contact Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Stephen M. Deangeles at 610-395-1438.

Access Device Fraud

Reported in the 3600 block of Gehman Road, Lower Macungie Township, an unknown actor gained access to a woman's checking account. The investigation continues.

Reported in the 5700 block of Greens Drive, Lower Macungie Township, an unknown actor discovered a lost wallet with an included credit card and made several fraudulent purchases at various businesses in the Trexlertown Mall area 4:30 p.m. May 13. Anyone with information may contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.

DUI

Curtis Lynn Fisher, 55, of Wescosville, was taken into custody under suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol after a two-vehicle traffic accident at the intersection of Hamilton Boulevard and Brookside Road, Lower Macungie Township, 8:59 p.m. May 3. Charges were filed in District Court 31-3-02.

Joseph Boris Kmiecik, 57, of Bethlehem, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs after he was stopped for an alleged traffic violation on the Route 222 bypass, northbound, at Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 10:13 p.m. May 7.

Dustin E. Morrow, 23, of Emmaus, was taken into custody for driving under the influence after he allegedly crashed his vehicle into a telephone pole in the 3100 block of Main Road East, Upper Milford Township, 1:46 a.m. May 9.

A Zionsville woman, 49, was taken into custody under suspicion of driving under the influence after she allegedly arrived at Eyer Middle School, 5616 Buckeye Road, Lower Macungie Township, to pick up her children and was determined to have been operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Charges are pending.
