Mary C. Bishop, 86 of Northampton, died May 9, 2014, at Gracedale Nursing Home, Nazareth. She was the wife of James E. Bishop Sr. for 50 years.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Warren and Mary (Samuels) Brobst.

She was a public notary in Northampton County for 30 years.

She was a member of Emmauelsville Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bath.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Warren and his wife Carol Corcoran of Jefferson City, Tenn. and Michael J. and his wife Alfie Considine of Bath; a daughter; Mary C. Considine and her husband Bruce Walters of Hanahan, S.C.; a daughter-in-law, Heidi R. Bishop of Northampton; nine grandchildren; and four great–grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, James E. Bishop Jr.; a daughter, Linda Seacrest; two sisters; and a brother.
