Elmer P. Wehr Jr., 66, of Orefield, died May 3, 2014, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
He and his wife Dolores F. (Bougher) Wehr were married 45 years in February.
He was a son of the late Elmer P. Sr. and Lillian (Ruch) Wehr.
A lab technician for Mack Trucks Inc. in the Experimental Division for almost 30 years, he retired in 2006.
He and his wife owned Wehr's Fruit Stand and Farm, Orefield, for 40 years.
A lifetime member of the Schnecksville Fire Company, he also belonged to various horseback riding clubs and was a sponsor of the Lehigh County FFA and 4-H.
He was a member of Morgenland Church, Orefield.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons Daniel and wife, Terri, and Scott and wife Allison, all of Schnecksville; daughters Bonnie, wife of Aaron Humes, of New Tripoli, and Amy wife of Nicholas Hamm, of Lenhartsville, brothers Donald and wife, Miriam, of Orefield, Bruce and wife, Jane of Germansville, and Barry and wife Donna, of New Tripoli, sisters Jean, wife of Carl Roth, of Orefield, Nancy Horning of East Texas, Clairann, wife of Curt Bond, of South Lyon, Mich., Doris, wife of Raymond Horwath and Loretta, wife of Kirk Smith, all of Coopersburg, grandchildren Bradley, Brandi, Race, Chase, Kendra and Brystol; and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother Richard.
