On April 15, 1998, the Bethlehem Brew Works first opened its doors in the Main Street Commons, a featured tenant in the newly renovated historically restored buildings that once housed the former Orrs Department Store.

This past April 15, the Bethlehem Brew Works celebrated its 16th anniversary by offering beer discounts, past classic menu items such as Portabello Napoleon and crab cake sandwiches, as well a limited edition beer, 16th Anniversary Ale.

Head Brewer Josh Bushey said that the anniversary provided incentive to "make something big and something different, so we went with a wheat ale that has a huskiness and dryness on the palate."

According to owner Rich Fegley, the single batch of this craft beer that has been brewed, fifteen barrels total, will mean that it will be available for a limited time. Fegley pointed out that patrons at the Bethlehem Brew Works will be able to enjoy the anniversary ale on tap, and then purchase a bottle or two to take home since a third of the batch, five barrels worth, has been bottled.

Fegley's Brew Works owns a second brew pub in Allentown where the family owned and run business has a brewing and bottling facility and is headquartered, as well a Fegley's Coffee Works and Fegley's Burrito Works at other Lehigh Valley locations.
