Favorite subject: History, because it helps us learn from past mistakes; physics; I like that it can be applied to daily life
Activities: Mixed martial arts at Leading Edge; martial arts; track and field; basketball
Next steps: College, hopefully on a Navy or Army ROTC scholarship or to the United States Naval Academy
Career goals: I want to be a Marine Corps officer.
Heroes: My father, because he has always helped me with school, sports and other interests, and he has always kept me on the right path
Hobbies: Hiking, drawing and participating in charity runs
Current job(s): Zuzu's Confectionery
Volunteer/community work: I volunteer at the Special Olympics, the Wounded Warrior Project and I am an assistant mixed martial arts instructor.
Likes: I like animals, the outdoors and going on long runs.
Dislikes: I dislike winter, coconut and waking up early.
Greatest accomplishment (so far): Creating and leading a fundraiser for the Wounded Warrior Project. We made over $1,700 on a 132-mile hike on the Appalachian Trail.
Advice for peers: Make sure you enjoy high school, but have multiple plans ready for after you graduate. Also, set a goal for your future, no matter how difficult it may seem, and do not let anyone stop you from achieving it.
