Robert R. Geiger, 83, died at his home in Whitehall on May 6, 2014. He was the husband of the late Virginia (Holland) Geiger.

Born in Catasauqua, he was a son of the late James and Perma (Heintzelman) Geiger.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

He worked in the car repair division at the Bethlehem Steel for 35 years before retiring in 1990.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Catasauqua.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 215. He was a member of Southwark Hose Company and the Fullerton Fire Company.

He is survived by a son, James Sr. and his wife Darlene Geiger of Allentown; two grandchildren, Cheryl and her husband Jeremy Ebert of Allentown and James Jr. and his wife Tracy Geiger of Alburtis; six great–grandchildren; and a sister, Rose Marie Danner of Point Philips.
