The Siegfried Railroad Station, the home of the Northampton Area Historical Society, will be open to visitors on the third Sunday of each month from May through September and, possibly, October.

The station, located on West 21st Street, will be open on May 18, 1-4 p.m.

The station is a museum housing artifacts from the Northampton area. There are several permanent displays and some different displays each year. This year's main exhibit is the J.J. Kleppinger Meat Market.

There is no charge to visit the station, but donations are accepted for the continuing restoration of the station. A new floor was recently installed in the stationmaster's office. This was funded by a grant from the Northampton County Hotel Tax.

This month, fourth-graders from the Northampton Area School District will be visiting both the station and the Atlas Cement Company Memorial Museum.
