Edward J. Sullivan
Edward J. Sullivan, 81, of Douglassville, formerly of Allentown, died May 8, 2014, in his home.
He was the husband of the late Dorothy A. (DePol) Sullivan.
Born Sept. 10, 1932, in Flushing, N.Y., he was the son of the late James J. and Laura A. (Cassidy) Sullivan.
He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War achieving the rank of staff sergeant.
He was a district manager at Hobart Corp., headquartered in Troy, Ohio, for 37 years before retiring in 1995.
He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield, where he formerly sang with the choir.
His survivors include children Carol A. Radzik and her husband, Joseph, of Schnecksville, Steven G. and his wife, Brenda Sue of Katy, Texas, Barbara L. Ferenz and her husband, Stephen, of Oley; grandchildren Craig S. Sullivan and his wife, Kayla, Jennifer N. Loaiza and her husband, Marco, Sarah A. Ferenz; great-grandchildren Case and Hadley Sullivan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. May 16, 2014, at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, 1879 Applewood Drive, Orefield.
Visitation period is from 7-8:30 p.m. May 15 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville.
Interment with military honors will follow the Mass at Resurrection Cemetery.
